gunquit is a small village that proves that nice things often come in small packages. Ogunquit offers views of beautiful white beaches and rocky coast. Ogunquit is home to two fine golf courses, and many art galleries. A quaint town designed for foot traffic, most of Ogunquit's shops, eateries, beaches and boardwalks are within a short walk from "downtown." For those wanting to relax even more, a trolley system runs from May until mid-October and will whisk you from your beach chair on the white sand beach to shopping, back to your hotel, or off to Perkins Cove for more sightseeing.Perkins Cove is one of the most picturesque coves in all of Maine. Here you can enjoy the sights, take a chartered fishing trip, or just kick back for cocktails and fine dining.

A Beautiful Place by the Sea For many years, Ogunquit has attracted visitors from all over the world. Known not only for its beautiful beaches and cool summer breezes, Ogunquit has been a haven for artists as well. Whether you're setting up your easel at Marginal Way, or visiting the local galleries, you will see why Ogunquit has inspired visitors to call it "the beautiful place by the sea".

Ogunquit's beaches run the coastline for about three miles and can be accessed by three main entrances. The main beach, off Beach Street in Ogunquit's "downtown," is the southernmost beach. The Footbridge Beach is located off Borne Lane, and finally, the northernmost beach is called Moody Beach. Each of these entrances have parking and a trolley station stop.
